City Council Meeting Recap

Council meeting still April 7 2026

The Kirkland City Council met on April 7, 2026. Here’s a brief overview of some of the items from the meeting. During theBusiness Agenda, Council:

  • Received a briefing on a new Neighborhood Plan Amendment Request Process
  • Adopted Zoning Code Amendments for Minimum Parking Requirements to comply with State law
  • Reviewed a draft resolution on how the City can respond to federal impacts 
  • Discussed draft policy principles that will help guide the next 6-year Capital Improvement Program 
  • Authorized the acquisition of the Perrin Property for the Public Works Maintenance Center Expansion Project.
  • Held a joint meeting with the Human Services Commission 
  • Received a presentation on the peer review of the Upper Highlands Water Pressure.
